I have been given this at 75-100mg as needed, on-going. My doctor has recommended I take it for a few weeks straight to help reset a sleep schedule. So far it works with minimal side effects.
I have had chronic insomnia for years and am hopeful this will help me. I am worried about becoming dependant or side effects, and could use encouragement. What has your experience been? Thanks

I took Trazodone 50mg for several days. It knocked me out but it made me drowsy all day long. So I stopped taking it. I switched it to Mirtazapine 15mg to sleep for a while (I don't need it anymore) that was much better for me.
I did switch to that but I got to the point my dreams felt so real and so clear it was freaking me out so swapped back. Does work though maybe my dreams wasn't always good dreams 😊
Hi there, well I suffer with severe depression so was given this 100mg to help in the mornings along side anti depressant. I suffer from ME and insomnia so at 10pm I take 300mg and I'm asleep till 5.30am on average. But due to my ME I still feel sleepy but I've never suffered bad symptoms and been on it 5 years. Just need to find the right dose for you. It's a good medication (if there are any lol).
hello! I never had insomnia before. It started after my first pfizer vaccine. I really think it is related. I do not want to depend on medicine but was given trazodone in my contry. Then I came back to teh UK and my GP said it is not in the NHS system. Anyone with the same problem?
