Good luck but you won't need it. If you are having ablation just take it very easy for a couple of weeks afterwards and don't panic if you still get some funnies afterwards for a while. It will take at least three months for everything in there to settle down maybe more and there will be times when you think it hasn't worked. Be positive and ask here if you have any worries or talk to your arrhythmia nurse if you have one.. I had three ablations but have been af free for nearly four years now. Do keep us posted.

WIll be praying for you. I know the nervous feeling, I went through the those same feelings just about 4 weeks ago. And now after going through it, I would do it again in a (fast, irregular) heartbeat.

After you get there they will put in an IV and then comes the 50 questions... I remember they asked me what I was having done and I told them that if they didn't know... I was going home...

After the IV and questions they will take you into the EP Lab and lay you on a table. It's about -20 deg in that room but they put a heated blanket on you. Then someone will say "Good Night" and when you wake up (4 to 8 hours later) it will all be over.

You will have a sore throat and be pretty groggy for the rest of the night. Get a good sleep Sunday night. I only cat napped after the ablation. The whole night was napping for 5 to 10 minutes at a time. I was sent home at about 10AM.

Let us know how it went when you get back home. I'll be waiting to hear about you experience.

And Again.... Your in my prayers!
