Day One of Global AF Aware Week!

TO KICK-START #GAFAW2023, on DAY ONE, we were on location at Tesco, Newton Abbot.

We were offering FREE pulse checks to anybody who came along. Out of the 34 pulse checks we conducted we were able to pick up on two possible cases of Atrial Fibrillation and were able to offer our advice and support.

This #GAFAW2023, take control of your heart rhythm, it is as important as knowing your Blood Pressure!

Interesting in that those numbers mirror the tests I did some years ago for A F awareness week . I borrrowed an experimental lap top ECG machine and worked from two local surgeries where over two days I did ECGs on 57 random patients and discovered five cases of AF three of which were previously unknown.
