So it appears to continue to work. I know that doubling time is important so I was just wondering if halving time has any importance.
Side effects:
• A little tired, but that was offset by a week of steroids as was any "rebound pain" from extensive mets in my pelvis and spine. It didn't last more than a week after the steroids tapered off
• Upset gut or "slight nausea" which went away and came back -- I think the radiation from my pelvis messed up my gut microbes and may have rebuilt as lactose intolerant -- now taking an anti-nausea drug and that has taken care of this.
Nov 16: Pluvicto #3 (and so much for family Thanksgiving with the little ones -- the nuclear medicine doctor said to just tell them to stay away, so he's probably not a parent! LOL)

Most of us know that Pluvicto (Lutetium-177) is not the silver bullet that will cure prostate cancer. For many men it doesn't work but for some the results are miraculous. It sounds like you are one of the fortunate ones with a positive response. Good luck with your future treatments!
Hi. My profile has similarities to yours, am into 3rd year of Zoladex (also Zytiga). If I may ask, are you still on Zoladex and Xtandi ? And no radiographic change (I hope) ?
I have been battling this beast for a very long time (10 years and 6 months). I have been on Zoladex (goserelin) since 2013 except for 1 year when I was on Firmagon (degarelix). I didn't like the monthly shots so my medical oncologist put me back on Zoladex. I took Xtandi with Zoladex for a little over five years but it started to fail a little over a year ago. I am now on a clinical trial investigating the use of Lutetium pre-chemotherapy. As part of the SPLASH trial, I was put on Zytiga plus Prednisone. When that fails the trial does offer a crossover to Lutetium. After that who knows? Hope that helps!
Thanks, very informative. I’m actually 9 years into this. Details on profile. On Zoladex from Aug/21, and Zytiga + Prednisolone from Jan/22. Plus Alendronic Acid for bones from Aug 2022. Now mCRPC. Chemo maybe next up if scans show progression. Interested in Splash results. Good luck.
Thanks, RyderLake2. I am indeed fortunate in that Pluvicto is only effective 30% of the time. I also had a very good response to Xtandi, as that remained effective for 7 years.
Hoping for continued success with the Pluvicto for you. I know what you mean about telling the little ones to stay away. We have 7 little grandchildren and there is no way they would stay away from their Papa. He is the popular one for sure. Hope you enjoy a great turkey dinner on Thanksgiving.
Thanks, Kay. As a gay man I have much experience creating a family for a holiday celebration. I am in a new town and just getting to know my community here but I am sure I will find others looking for fellowship on Thanksgiving.
Miccoman, that’s great news that Pluvicto seems to be working for you. Best wishes for continued success. I completed my first dose of Pluvicto last Wednesday and also have minor nausea that comes and goes. The next dose is on Dec. 21st, so I’ll be spending Xmas alone and separated from my wife and kids.😢
You only need to stay 3 feet away from everybody for 3 days, then pregnant women and small children for 2 weeks. So you should be good for Christmas as long as no one is sitting in your lap
