I can’t function. I feel sleepy. How is that possible? I’m so lazy as if I have hangover traits. I only took half dosage of olanzepine and fluoxetine last night. I can’t seem to get myself going today even as doing physical labor. Having a rough time. Feeling stuck.

Hi there. I take Elvanse 70mg as well as Fluoxetine, both of which I take with my breakfast.
I always find it really, really hard to get up in the morning (and am also really tired by about 10pm - it’s a family joke that I fall asleep in front of the TV) but once I have taken the meds and done some exercise I feel really energised for the day and this keeps me going until the evening. I know it’s counter-intuitive but even though my body feels like lead before I make myself get up, getting out in the fresh air (even if it’s just for a walk) has made a big difference to me.
I’d also make sure you are getting proper sleep. Go to bed early enough, don’t drink alcohol or stare at a screen before bed... have a shower or bath fragranced with something calming like lavender, try reading or listening to an audio book.... maybe taking care of your sleep would help you feel less tired.
I would also suggest you talk to your doctor about adjusting your meds, as perhaps the combination needs tweaking. I wouldn’t reduce or stop the fluoxetine without consulting first - as that may not be the one giving you problems and you might get bad side effects of stopping without being supervised in this.
My daughter has aDHD too and she finds that if she takes her meds as soon as her alarm goes off even BEFORE she gets out of bed, it kicks in better and helps her get going. She takes a different medication to me but the same method might help you. She has a small glass of milk with it, though so as not to take it on an empty stomach.
We are all different (hooray for individuality and being atypical ) and what works for me might not work for you. The point is to ask your doctor to keep trying to get the balance right so you can feel better.
Thank you kindly for sharing. I have gratitude for people who share their stories like yourself. Thank you
In the morning I do find it hard but not struggle to get out of bed. I have a huge sleeping problem. I wish I can fix that problem
