I am a disabled single mother of 2, my daughter is 20 and has a child that's 2, and I also have a son that just turned 8. My daughter is Bipolar and anxiety but she didn't like meds and she wasn't violent so she is ok. My son on the other hand has severe ADHD and Disruptive Behavior Disorder and has been diagnosed since 3yrs old. He is most definitely like having a jealous husband around because that was a question I saw and its just about attention and to kids like him - any attention is better than you giving it to someone else and he gets mad and violent but I found a way that when he wants to hit kick or punch, I grab his finger anyone I can reach and I squeeze my nail Into it until he stops screaming and calms down and that has been a blessing because he is very smart but socially and emotionally he has a lot to learn and I never liked whipping my kids but if I did it was for a purpose like if they touch something they shouldn't you smack their hand , if they say bad words then smack their mouth and so on, but Landyn wasn't so easy and I felt like I was walking in a boxing ring everytime I said no and I couldn't keep up due to my own health but I wasn't giving up either because he's my baby and I got his finger one day and even tho things aren't perfect everyday, it was better than letting them hospitalize him for 28 for them to monitor him and figure it out especially since the most important part is TALK to your child and don't use baby voices especially if your child has speech issues already but when you talk to your child don't forget to Stop and Listen too because all kids learn and express things differently so you have to find what works best for and start at a very young age with choices and consequences because they have minds of their own and they need to learn to focus and think before acting and I'm #talking to text so I hope that all came out the right way
