Hi guys I'm new here. I have very personal obsessions. Are there any guidelines on how personal you can be on here?

Are you seeing a therapist/psychologist?
Yes that's right. It's a silly thing.
None that I'm aware of. Some members like to tell their story in detail, while others are more discreet. What's important is that you find sufficient help and support.
Obsessions can be very personal, but the compulsions associated with them are often textbook. Avoidance, reassurance seeking, ritualizing, and ruminating are common behaviours that an OCD sufferer uses to respond to an obsessive thought.
It's important to remember that obsessive thoughts are not threats.
They're just thoughts.
Overcoming OCD means accepting the existence of uncertain or unwelcome thoughts (exposure), and reducing your response to them (response prevention).
