My therapist of 3 years is closing her practice…. Anyone have any advice? I’m in “recovery” for the most part but the idea of not having her there when I need her is TERRIFYING to me and so is the idea of having to start over with someone new.

Hey Disneyandme,
I’m sorry to hear about that, and I can understand why it would be scary. The truth is, you don’t really have a choice whether or not to start over with somebody new, and so maybe to maximise how comfortable you are with that you could ask your current therapist for any recommendations of new ones? That way, you can reassure yourself that she believes that they will be able to help you.
I'm thinking maybe the online therapy NOCD....would that be something you could do?
