Thanks Barbiebreath! My hematologist does exactly what Dr. Mesa recommends and pays attention to the same things. I have PV so the most important number is hematocrit. I'm in Israel so they use 45 as the magic number for everyone. If it's even a hair over 45 I have a phlebotomy. Thankfully, on Besremi I haven't had one in almost 6 months. In PV most hematologists don't worry about platelets until they reach 1 million.It may be different for ET, and it may be different in other places.
