2WW-Symptoms

Well last Thursday was our 7th embryo transfer, and as usual I hate the 2WW.

Before the transfer I am very aware of the frustration during these days….but as soon as I am going through it I start going crazy….

Here comes my question…probably I have asked about it before but none of my friends have done IVF, so it is a bit difficult to compare.

Do you know if it is possible to be pregnant and not feeling symptoms? Yesterday I thought I had a bit of cramps, but….I no longer know if it really was that or if I was imaging things.

Thanks😘

MammaMia86 I had absolutely zero symptoms after my successful transfer and I now have a wonderful son.

Good luck and loads of baby dust coming your way 💙💙💙

Thanks!!!! I think that if the home test weren’t so expensive I will do one every day…..But I´ve had false positive in the past and I was heartbroken.

I will have to cross fingers for me and for all going through the same

I also had absolutely zero symptoms during my successful 2ww...

I usually get really sore boobs during my period so I always expected to get those during pregnancy - nope! Nothing. No cramps, no implantation bleed, no sickness at all, I wasn't even particularly tired - honestly I was so shocked when it was positive, I didn't even do a HPT because I couldn't bare to see yet another negative.

You've got this xx

ohhhh thanks.....Thanks for sharing your experience with me …… it gives me hope….I think that every time I go through this I should know what to expect but here I am looking at the same things over and over again….as if I am going to find the answer that I am looking for…will it be positive?

I know - it's so hard - every day just asking yourself the same question. Endlessly wondering what the outcome will be.

I tried to remind myself over and over that nothing I could do would make any difference - so try not to overthink it. Just kept trying to push it down inside me.

I think that, that is what we find frustrating about this process....there is nothing else that we can do to make it happen....the doctors send us medication, injections...and we do it all, but sometimes that is not enough, but we don't know what's that extra thing missing.

Yes indeed. I was reading the other day that even when all the conditions are perfect - sometimes (even a PGT-A tested) embryo just doesn't have the energy to implant and grow - its the same in natural pregnancies but it just doesn't take the same amount of money / emotion / physicality as IVF.

100% true! according to my doctor the embryo that was transfer is beautiful 🤣and if she says it, I will have to believe it....but that is no guarantee....I've had other embryos that were good quality and still nothing...

When I have a friend with kids telling me that they've been trying to get pregnant for a couple of months and nothing....I try really hard not to roll my eyes.....because in a couple of months later she is pregnant. Sometimes it is difficult to make people understand that if they are frustrated after only a couple of months.....imaging us after years....

Millbanks profile image
Millbanks in reply to MammaMia86

For me that is the hardest part - not knowing why it's not worked. Just the frustration is unreal.

Yes same here "oh we've been trying for 6 months and nothing..." I can't help but think "boo hoo"!! It took us 5 years of expensive invasive treatment.....

Most of my friends got pregnant the first time of trying...

Yeah same thing happened with me. Apart from sore breasts, no other symptoms. Sometimes very mild cramps....apart from that no other symptoms.

Ohhhhhh great!!!!👏 once I told my husband that for sure I was pregnant because my boobs were soooo sensitive, and it was a BFN. I am hoping that my case is like yours😘

Yes, it is completely possible to not have any symptoms during the TWW. It was that way for me. I ultimately thought it was another failed cycle and was really suprised and pleased that I got a BFP on testing day. I had zero symptoms well into my 1st month and then when they came, they came! hehe. The nausea started, aversion to certain smells, heavy breasts, waking to pee at night... Relax, breathe. You got this! Wish you the best. x

ohhhh that's good news!! I've got pregnant on my first try but I never stopped having discomfort after the egg retrieval….so I don’t really know if I had or not symptoms…

Thanks for sharing

100%, no symptoms here with either of my two pregnancies until 6 weeks. I’d actually say that anecdotally (based on my friends family etc), no symptoms is actually more common than any symptoms.

Good to hear…..I need to relax and stop thinking about it….but easy said than done😂

I've had zero symptoms in neither of my succesful FETs! And please save yourself the trouble of testing early/daily... it's a slippery slope into misery.

I know I know.....🤦I need to control myself....I had previously 2 false positives with tests at home....and it was devastating.....so I don't want to go through it again.

I also had zero symptoms with my BFP (7th transfer) & was convinced I was out. I felt sure I would know I was pregnant as I can even feel myself ovulate 🤣 I was so wrong!

I go crazy in the 2ww (read some of my previous posts). In the end I just learned to embrace it. Whatever the outcome, the insanity passes.

Good luck 🤞🤞🤞 you got this
