I seldom listen to podcasts. I was never sure why. Eventually decided it was just too hard to retain new information. But this one should stay in my brain. She talks about the triad of symptoms that define PD: 1. Bradykinesia 2. Stiffness and 3. Tremor. And then the dozen of other symptoms that have since been added.
She describes the symptom of tremor as pill rolling. And says other forms of tremor are NOT symptomatic of PD. Such as flapping wings. So I don't pill roll. Instead my 4th and 5th fingers bend side-to-side like a flapping wing.
She ends with the idea that folded alphasynucleon is the root of PD. And tests for this should be the next step in curing PD.
Hopefully I can remember this and mention it at the next neuro appointment.
