Hi HOLLYANNhopefulanna, I started on carvedilol 6.25 which was then increased to 12.5 in December last year with no side effects. I also take entresto 24/26mg and eplerenone 25mg, I feel really well. Hope all goes well for you.

Hi Hollyann. I was given Bisoprolol after my heart attack 6 years ago, but didn’t get on with it, so was switched to Carvedilol 6.25 twice a day. No side effects after about 4 years now 😀

beta blockers can cause an increase in breathing issues for people with lung problems, but Carvedilol is supposed to do this less than the others

make sure you take your asthma control medication regularly as per instructions

check with a pharmacist, who should be able to advise you on what do do if you have side effects

good luck

I’m on 25mg of carvedilol a day, split over 2 doses of 12.5mg. For me, it is better than the other bbs I’ve been on (bisoprolol, metropolol and atenelol).
