Blood test help required
Hi all! Please could anyone advise me on my blood tests which were done as my hair is shedding like crazy. I have an underactive thyroid and about 8 weeks ago my GP increased my thyroxine to 200mcg as my TSH was 6 (she didn’t test anything else). Since the shedding has continued and I feel really tired

Trial of T3 confirmed by phone today
Hi everyone Well as you can see by the title I have been offered a trial of T3 at long last. After my appointment with a new registrar a month ago I had my bloods done the following day as requested. All done following the usual protocol. My TSH was 0.7 T4 20 & T3 3.3. Pretty much the same as

DBS levadopa challenge. Glad its over, but it does raise a question.
Just left hospital after my levadopa challenge assessment for DBS.Wow, i wasn't prepared for how I'd be after having no meds since 7pm last night. I can honestly say I appreciate my meds so much more now. My normal day starts at 4:30am when i take my Stalevo 125mg. I'm very slow, shakey, and have some

Seeking advice on burning feet symptom and an endocronoligist recommendation in London
Hi everyone. Over the last two years I’ve learnt so much from this site and I’m very grateful. I’m looking for some advice relating to my hypothyroid symptoms. I was diagnosed nearly three years ago and am taking 50mg of Teva. My symptoms arrived suddenly, and I still have bouts of anxiety and depression

I have had a horrendous few weeks health wise. This is due to fibroids, however what it has distracted me from is the fact my thyroid consultant had doubled my thyroid meds which amongst everything else I just went with. I have been so low in mood, tearful every single day, exhausted, drained and feeling

Hi everyone, Been here a few times as I try and get my thyroid/iron levels good while TTC. Was pleased recently when my iron went up finally but now it, and my other thyroid levels, seem to have got worse. I'm not sure if this is because the test was taken on the last day of my period - would that

can i reduce levo safely ?
to say a big hello as been so long- after years of subclinical results , meaning TSH around 3,4 5,6 with always a healthy level of T4 and T3 in low range (bottom third) so appeared to be a poor converter I was TSH 2.9 in 2006 and 4.6 by 2016 and literally crawling up the stairs until i

Eye brow hair loss
Hi, a few days ago I posted my story on this forum. Today I would like to focus on one problem in particular, eye brow hair loss. I always had rather thin and far from perfect eye brows, but since I had my surgery it got much worse. I feel very bad and embarrassed about it 😞 I understand that

OK bloods...Still plateauing??
Hi again 👋About 7 weeks ago I increased my levo from 50mcg to 75mcg after discussing here. Initially, revved up again. Happy days- more energy, lost a small bit of weight, mood improved etc. I have started slipping back again and thought I'd get my bloods done again before I do anymore 'tinkering'.

Is it possible to get rid of excess iodine in my body?
hi all this might seem like a silly question but i going to ask it anyway. IS THERE SUCH A THING AS AN ANTIDOTE TO REMOVE EXCESS IODINE FROM THE BODY THAT IS STORED IN MY CELLS? The excess iodine is playing havoc with thyroid numbers. I have no thyroid and resent numbers were: TSH 11.9 FT4 12.0

Vitamin and mineral supplements? My latest results
Hi all, I've just had my latest Blue Horizon results (see image) which I would welcome comments on, particularly regarding the vitamins and minerals I might need to supplement. All blood tests were done no later than 9.30am, no levo for 24 hours before. I've worked really hard this year on my diet, but

Results and doctor visits
Hi everyoneOh the stress with these doctors. So I got my bloods done last week at 9.15 am. So I got extra done since I knew what to ask for thankfully because of your help here. Today I went back for results and honestly, it's like the light is on and no one home, the frustration. We don't test for

I dont have Hashi's!
I had the phone call with the "Endo" just now. I am sure I will calm down in a minute... I looked him up and he is a Diabetic specialist. I asked him and he said " I only deal with Endocronology". He then started on about how taking T3 is dangerous, as it does not slow release, and where do I get

Daft question I’m sure - re NDT and effects of withdrawal
Hi I know this is probably going to be a stupid question. But being a bit cash strapped this month so ran out of NDT 3 weeks ago. I was taking 60mg in conjunction with thyroxine , 75mcg - reason I was put on it was due to poor t3 conversion so whilst my tsh looked over supressed my t3 was always sitting
