BUT, I'm having to take a lot of

Medication advice needed please
I am seeing my asthma nurse on Tuesday for my annual review on Tuesday and my asthma has been pretty poor this year compared to last year and at the minute my pfs are running 60-80% of my predicted despite taking my double dose of flixotide. My current meds are Flixotide inhaler or nebs Salbitamol

Hi all I post occasionally on the boards - usually when my asthma had slipped out of control or I have some questions .... But, for once it's none of that.... In February (left alone while my dh was at the pub) I entered the ballot for the great north run... I have run a little before - did a 10k

Coming down off Pred
Does anyone else feel really awful when trying to reduce their pred. After being on 15mgs for 3weeks with no problems I dropped to 12.5mgs at the weekend. Since then I'm feeling really tired and keep getting bad cramp in my calves especially at night. I've started to eat bananas as i think someone mentioned

Rant!
On friday, I went to see my local asthma nurse I was having a rough week, i.e. using an entire Ventolin MDI in a week, not good :( Anywho, she listened to my chest, heard no wheezing (probs due to me emptying half an inhaler down my throat that morning!) said I was fine and told me to stop panicking

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr - Rapid Response Paramedic
Earlier this evening I was having a bad asthma attack and my medication was not helping much so I had to dial 999 and asked for ambulance. My peakflow was 130. The Rapid Reponse Paramedic that attended was very abrupt with me and said that I was overbreathing because of my chest infection, he refused

Have I really got asthma?
Have had some strange experiences over the last 7 to 8 weeks but, more severely, over the past couple of weeks only which have been preliminary diagnosed as asthma (first time I've ever been ill in 45 years with something that couldn't be easily cured by OTC remedies bought at the Pharmacy). My first

Hi there Not sure if this is coincidence or if is anything to do with ventolin, but over the last week or so, i have had to get up during the night, sometimes twice a night to go for a wee. I've hardly ever had to do this, i normally go the whole night without having to go. I have been suffering from
