Hi I'm new here, looking for advice on where to turn to with my symptoms.
Pain in shoulder worsened and couldn't sleep so was given low dose of
amitriptyline
. This helped and could cope with the pain. Came off after about three months.

So I just took her word for this and took pain tablets when required and she prescribed me with
Amitriptyline

Once off
amitriptyline
not taking anything for a while so I can guage b12 frequency of injections needed. I have a strong feeling that once reduced will not be got back. It's so tricky . It's so suprising that no comment to actual symptoms apart from I've been ill for too long now!

3rd set of normal LFTs
The same thing happened last week when I took 100mg
amitriptyline
to sleep something I've done fairly regularly in the past. The next night night the itch came back even worse than before and I've since learned that
amitriptyline
isn't recommended for people with liver disease.

Irregular heartbeat
I'm trying herbalist medicine because I don't want to take medication from the doctors as I have been on
amitriptyline
and beta blockers in the past.

Losing my marbles?!
I am at my wits end, I’m sick of being in pain and I’m sick of constantly going to the doctors only to be given different pain killers from diclafenic to
amitriptyline
. Has anyone else experienced pain in their right side and been diagnosed with endometriosis?

New symptom liver itch
I've since learned that
amitriptyline
is hard on the liver. I haven't had any alcohol for 5 weeks when I had 2 glasses of wine and have no intention of having any again as these symptoms are horrible.

More mixed messages about paracetamol and Gabapentin!! Getting frustrated.
I told her about the recent fibromyalgia diagnosis and poor sleep which is why I was prescribed
Amitriptyline
(which gave me horrible side effects) which was then changed to Gabapentin.

Amitriptyline and dementia
I have neuropathy and am considering going back on
amitriptyline
(I was on it from 2005-2016 25mg). Trouble is that I'm aware that there was a lot of bad press over the past couple of years regarding a link between this drug and dementia?

Could it be that I've changed my antidepressent to morning?
I've just realised that I still feel a bit out of it this morning and it couldn't possibly be from taking that one dose of
Amitriptyline
36 hours ago. Then I remembered I've also changed taking my Citalopram 10mg from nighttime to morning, as my nurse said the Citalopram can cause insomnia.
