Ferritin
I have just had an Advanced Thyroid Test from Medichecks. My Free T4 and Free T3 may look good but I have been getting a return of my symptoms so have upped my NDT from 2.5 grains to 3. It is my ferritin which I am not happy about. Is it too low? I eat very little red meat which is probably why it is

Switching from Levothyroxine to Liothyronine
Hello, I hope everyone is well. I haven’t written on here for a while as I’ve been feeling quite well so hope you don’t mind me coming back to you now. Although I feel good on my current dose of thyroxine and definitely don’t feel I’m taking too much, my endocrinologist wants to lower my thyroxine

Drug to Stimulate Adrenals?
Hello Lovely People! I was talking to my brother who lives in Wales (I am in Tasmania) this morning, he also has PMR. He was telling me that he has been to see a new rheumatologist whose initial response was that he had had PMR for too long (7 years). I am not sure if she was of the school of "PMR

Schilling Test -or something else ?
I recently found this out: Seventeen years ago, my cousin was found to have B12 deficiency. She would have been in her early 30s then - and was told that PA was unlikely at that young age. They tested her. From what she has told me, it sounds as if she was given the Schilling test - as she remembers

Hi everyone I had a colonoscopy today after around a year of diarrhoea, constipation, bleeding, tenesmus, BM at least 5x day and huge amounts of mucus. Numb hands 😞
Hello, I have been suffering with numb hands at night and during the day for a while. They really hurt at night and wake me up. It seems that it's made worse by laying on my side and not so connected to the position of my wrists. Splints don't make much difference. Has anyone had anything similar and
