low tsh but weight gain
Hi there! I’ve been told I have a low TSH . This is so disheartening after 8 years of being told it’s under active form Googling it seems now its now overactive? Is that possible? I’ve been on 125 m levothyroxine for almost 3 years now without problems, but now I’m experiencing weight gain, low mood

Rawr!
I don't know what else to say, laughing. Insert big fat sigh as well. I have zero understanding why my labs continue to be so off. The endocrinologist is going to accuse me of non-compliance yet again (I will go NOPE, NOPE & NOPE.) I take those little buggers in the middle of the night like a champ.

Do Thyroid meds have to be taken in the morning
I'm 55, lifetime sub-clinical hypo, on meds since age 10. Currently on 150mcg Levo and 10mcg Lio. Stable and bloods optimal. There is always inconsistent advice about when to take meds, GP puts on prescription that it should be taken at least one hour before any food or drink in the morning,

Bad Reaction to TEVA
I just had a bad reaction to TEVA Levo 50mg due to the Acacia Powder filler, GP changed prescription to Accord, but I also take Liothyronine (Morningside), I don't believe there is a brand of Lio (tablets) in the UK that doesn't contain Acacia, but that there is an oral solution. Does anyone have experience

Please could someone comment on my results, should I be concerned?
Hi all, I've just had results of a medichecks advanced thyroid test come back and am unsure what, if anything, I should do about them. I'm feeling ok, no particular symptoms of being hyper. I get palpitations (ectopics) but have had them throughout the year when TSH was high and they don't seem to have

Private endo strongly suspects I have PCOS
Hello, I have Hashimoto's and hypothyroidism and am on 162.5 mcg levo and 25 mcg T3. I'm slightly over medicated and trying to lower my dose gradually. Today I saw a private endo for the first time who looked at my fasting insulin (6.6) and said it shows I have insulin resistance. My testosterone is

can I cut tablet in half?
ive been on 25mg of levothyroxine for a few years and my doctor wants me to increase to 50. I was originally prescribed 50 a few years ago but my heart raced taking it so I was advised to take 25mg every 2 days then every other until I could tolerate 25. So I’m really anxious about taking 25 one day

Hypothyroidism and Pregnancy
Hello, may I ask what the guidelines are regarding hypothyroidism during pregnancy? My TSH is 0.05, should I have a 25mcg increase in levothyroxine?

Confused with symptoms and results
Hi everyone, it's been a while... So after returning to the gym earlier in the year and having a bit of normality for a change, I started to feel symptomatic and my blood test in June showed I was starting to go under again. What i'm confused about is that although I have been upping my Levothyroxine

No diagnosis but lots of symptoms
I have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism and am only a very low dosage of levothyroxine - which I don't think is managing my symptoms. However, I think that I may have lupus symptoms. I have been diagnosed with dry eyes and suffer badly with discomfort, grittiness, pain and light sensitivity. I have

Coffee/Tea decaffeinated
Morning, I've come across various articles regarding coffee/tea bad for levothyroxine & absorbing? I've not had any for one week(ish) but miss my cup of filter coffee breakfast(1hr+) after levo. Does anyone know if it really makes a difference I just feel I'm changing so much now I'm soya/gluten free

Adding T3
Finally allowing me to try adding 10mg of T3 twice a day to my 100mcg of Levothyroxine.I am a little scared of going hyper or heart racing, the endo hasn't reduced my levo and these were my last results. They probably look normal but I'm struggling with weight and my resting pulse is around 60. If

Are rats and humans really comparable?
Just curious, because I have been reading so much about how levothyroxine fails to restore euthyroidism in all tissues. However, all studies I have come across have examined thyroidectomized rats. But, can rats really be compared to humans? As far as I know, rodents have a very fast metabolism (I used

I posted my latest test results last night and just wondered if anyone can advise if i'm on the right dose of levo? I'm pretty sure my gp is going to ring to discuss the results and i want to make sure i know what to say. Should i start taking a B12? Also should i stay on the iron patches? 🤔 I should
