Another operation
Some of you might remember I had a wrist synovectomy about a month ago - the aim was to tidy up the joint, shave down the ulna bone and try to protect my tendons. It all seemed to go really well, my recovery appeared to be pretty good and I'd gone back to work after a month off and started driving

Do you have problems healing?
I had a skin graft in January due to a malignant melanoma (possibly linked to MMF) and the donor site is refusing to heal. I am 8 weeks post op and the nurses in the plastics clinic have tried everything they can think of. Does anyone have any suggestions please? I am fed up with having a dressing

Just a quick update
I thought I had done this a couple weeks ago but I can't seem to find my post anywhere... I had the visit to the rheumy and many other visits with other specialists. Seems all is good so far with a few suprises. My ANA was positive at 1:80 and speckeled pattern. I also tested positive for Lyme

A strange immune anomaly
I have just been diagnosed with Hughes Syndrome in the last 2 months. I am 48 yo. Have many of the general symptoms so I won't go into detail here, but it occurred to me as I laid in the hospital for the last 25 out of 30 days, I wonder if that Rubella Titer is due to this. Everytime for my physicals

subcutaneous infusion abscesses
I have been on a subcut infusion of terbutaline for some time and have recently started to get very painful abscesses where I have placed the infusion. Because of this I have changed over to Sof sets but the problem hasn't gone away. I constantly seem to be on anti biotics as a result. Wondering if anyone

My husband wants to know,if anyone knows if there is a link between dairy-intolerance,thyroid cancer and thyrotoxic periodic paralysis? At 49 years of age has discovered he is dairy-intolerant and after removal of dairy from his diet, all symptoms of periodic paralysis have gone. Could the intolerance

Thyroid and Lyme disease
Hi I have been receiving the Thyroid UK magazine for years now, and in the early days this support helped me get the proper diagnosis of poor conversion of T4 to T3. I have been on Armour and recently Erfa Thyroid since 2000, prescribed by my NHS Dr, and I got nearly better. I put the rest of my mild
