Decipher GRID Report Information Question

I recently got diagnosed with GLeason 3+4 intermediate favorable. The Decipher score came in at 0.35. Considering SBRT for treatment.

I was able to get the Decipher GRID report and noticed the information about "RT Sensitivity" copied below. Anyone know what the implications, if any, of the "Resistant" for "RT Sensitivity" are for SBRT as an initial sole treatment?

Gene / Signature Tumor Score Population Rank Status

CCND1 0.97 90% --

ERCC1 0.48 78% --

pRB Loss 0.00 6% Intact

RT Sensitivity 0.78 78% Resistant

TP53 0.49 69% --

TP63 0.42 81% --

The clinical outcome varies for each prostate cancer patient, more aggressive cancers tend to be more resistant.

But yet, supposedly a .35 score is low risk, so I don't understand that

I had the same thing, same score .78 and called Decipher as I had SBRT. They told me that it is used for "educational purposes" and I wasn't even supposed to see it. The guy who was a genetic counselor said that that particular thing was just one small piece of a much larger picture and that the Decipher test had no way of predicting if a tumor would be radiation resistant. He told me that if they could it would be a huge breakthrough. He then explained that the entire genetic profile of my biopsy showed it to be vulnerable to radiation.

UCLA does a test to determine whether you will tolerate radiation treatment types PROSTOX. but it doesn’t tell how sensitive the tumor is to radiation

Maybe Tall_Allen can weigh in, but as far as I know, there hasn't been a test to determine how sensitive a tumor is to radiation. If so, I would think urologists that always want to do surgery would be all over it. I'm not sure why Decipher puts it on the GRID if it isn't actionable.

The good folks at Decipher are trying to determine the genomic traits that confer sensitivity to radiation. It is likely that some patients will require a stronger dose than others.
