Why do you ask? Did you have a doubtful TB test result? I was about to take it……when a second test came back negative…so I didn’t need it.

Quite a few people take it for that reason & I don,t remember reading that anyone reported any nasty side effects.

Ooh very luck for you, good result!

I have Latent TB, and has been on Isoniazid for 4 months. I will need to take it at least another 2 months, but may be extended to 9 months, That's why I was enquiring, if generally tolerated well for that long, especially if in my age group (59yo)

Thanks for your reply, best wishes.

I guess the time you need to stay on it depends on the test results as the time passes? I was tested as I’m on Rtx…& changed clinics…& the clinic was new to Rtx.TBH I don’t think I really needed to be tested as I’d had a negative test before starting Rtx …but it was simpler just to have it done.

But it it does seem to work…, so that if you need to …you can progress on to any medication you may need.
