HI everyone. This is my first post. I have been dealing with ocd and depression for twenty years. I had a relapse last year and had to go off work for three months. My Paxil was increased to 80mg and I was able to go back to work.

In December I was also diagnosed with ADHD and put on Vyvanse. Since I have been on the max dose of Vyvanse, I have noticed consistent feelings of anxiety, worthlessness, and irritability throughout the day. I have no appetite, and I can't use the washroom. I also go through periods of time where I don't want to be here. I am not sure if it's the depression I am dealing with, or the effects of being on vyvanse.

I spoke with my psychiatrist about this yesterday and he has begun to wean me off of vyvanse.

Hello and welcome! Glad to hear your psychiatrist is weening you off of drugs that don't seem to work for you. I've heard horror stories of the exact opposite. It's hard to self-advocate when you aren't doing well and I wish the medical establishment would keep that in mind at times. Regarding the feelings you describe, I've also been there. I'm not sure why people don't seem to frequent this board often, but in the Anxiety and Depression forum you will find several people experiencing the same troubles. There's always folks active there who can lend support, insight, or at least a kind ear. Good luck.
