Bowel re section

I had an appointment yesterday with the specialist endo nurse who has suggested i have a vaginal scan to see if the endo on my bowel has grown more because of my increasing symptoms. She then said if it has then bowel resection is an option but will require me to hace a stoma. Has anyone had this x

I had part of my bowel removed and also my bowel and bladder separated quite a while ago now. I was warned about the stoma bag too but was lucky I didn't need it. The recovery time was quite long.

Hi, I had a bowel resection when i had my hysterectomy. I was told there was a high risk because of the severity of my endometriosis that i would need a stoma. But i was lucky and didnt need this, They removed about 10cm of my bowel.

I think i was back to work, (working from home after 7 weeks) and back in the office after 10 weeks and this was a open surgery, i had a 9 inch scar down my stomach from above my belly button down to my pubic bone.
