Hi there. I am still under investigation for endometriosis, but all symptoms and flair ups seem to be pointing in that direction. Every month my symptoms have gotten worse and this last month I have been in hospital twice with the pain being so unbearable. I am waiting for an MRI scan and if that doesn't prove it then I guess surgical telescope will be the next step. They have put me on the pill to level my hormones out and amitriptyline amongst other things for the pain. I am finding that it has really affected my mobility, I can't stand for more than 20-30mins or walk for that amount of time and I have to really plan out my day and carefully think about what I am doing otherwise I am up in the night in pain or just useless for the next couple of days. I cannot bend down to pick things up, sit up in bed unaided or other simple tasks because of the pain. I am now being forced to look into mobility aids to help me in my day to day living as I have a 6 year old and I need to try to have a 'normal' life. Does anyone else find that they have been debilitated this much with this illness and how do you cope? I am even contemplating putting in for PIP because I am unable to work and I need support when my husband is away and my husband also thinks I should put in for a blue badge just so I don't have to walk so far if we go out. I am finding it difficult because on a good day I can manage a 20 minute walk and probably look normal, but then people don't see me up in the night in pain because I pushed myself. I am struggling to get my head around it all.
