Anyone else taking this? I was on Atorvastatin 20mg but side effects were so bad, saying that it loweredCholesterol from 6.9 to 3.8. Can't find much on Nilemdo, any info will be gratefully received. I'm not sure it will be as effective as Atorvastatin but hoping joint, muscle pain won't be as bad. Pleased to hear from anyone on this subject.
Thank you.

Hi I also had severe muscle and joint pains with atorvastatin (80mg) but after 2 changes of statins I'm finally on Rosuvastatin (20mg) and touch wood no issues in over 2 & 1/2 yrs. maybe a chat with the GP to discuss options?Hope you get sorted, take care.
Thank you so much I will take a look just now. The pain is awful isn't it? Mine did in fairness after time subside a bit, and I guess Im going to encounter some with this one too. Will keep you posted. Thanks again
Hi PumpkinTag,It looks like I could get same probs as with Atorvastatin, also gout, aneamia & can affect liver. Not that I will encounter, but maybe I should have stuck with the first one, time will tell I guess. How long have you been on Ator? Are you sleeping as that was another problem I found, also my mood was awful, very snappy & miserable. Hope your symptoms settle down a little.
I had terrible pain with Atorvastatin after 3 weeks. stopped it for 2 days, pain went away. Im now on Rosuvastatin with no probs. I told my nearly 70 year old mum who has been using a mobility scooter about it, she stopped the Atorvastatin she has been on for years, she is now dog walking!!! basically it can cause Myopathy, allegedly its rare but i would argue that.
