Not the greatest of questions, has anyone had reduced urine flow while on basic heart meds [ statins, Ramipril, bisoprolol, aspirin etc ] and being a man of 63 I have just had my prostrate cancer tests, { neg }. I have really noticed a reduction in the flow power not the amount as I’m on co-amilofruse {water tablets} . My journey is still new and after a MRI stress test hopefully have now all the pieces to find out what is going on. Thank you for reading.

Urine Flow
Dear Kevin
Its really good that you are negative for cancer, in particular prostate cancer. but what about swollen prostate ?
A swollen prostate can prevent the bladder from fully emptying.
Sometimes a relaxant drug can ease the issue. GP contact i think.
Its horribly common for us older males.
My prostate issues multiplied following open heart surgery.
Could be the medication
Colin
Colin, thank you for your time in answering my question, and telling me about your experience. Yes I agree with you that it maybe worth a mention when I’m next in contact with the surgery.I still feel a little bashed from the stress test MRI, for some reason the first lot of the stress drug did not work.
The nurse asked if I had taken any caffeine/smoked in the last 24hrs, which I promise you I hadn’t. My god fathers I felt the second lot that they pumped in and now 6 days afterwards my heart still feels bruised { the clinic said this was normal }
The urine thing is odd, I can easily just sit to urinate as I have little to no control over its aim { sorry about this }
I was told that some sexual functions maybe affected { yes to all you younger ones, we do still have sex at our age !} but nothing has happened in that department so far, except for a lack of interest { and who could blame me }
No, I've not experienced that. I suggest you talk to your doctor.
