I’m on the usual cocktail of meds following my HA - bisoprolol, ramipril, ticagrelor, aspirin, atorvastatin & lanzoprazole. I also take levothyroxine and fluoxetine but have been taking those two for years
I’m finding that my sense of taste has changed quite a lot. In particular, wine tastes really different (which is probably good for my health, as I really don’t like the taste any longer!) and spicy foods like curry just taste hot, not flavourful. I’m assuming it’s another side effect of the tablets, but thought I’d ask if anyone else has experienced this and if so, did it eventually right itself, like I’m hoping many of the side effects will.
It’s no biggie in the scheme of things but I thought I’d ask.
TIA

Hi Flitchick - I have noticed a change in my sense of taste. I have always liked full flavoured foods but now find things often taste on the bland side even those I cook myself is curries / stir Frys etc where I know I have added spices and garlic etc. I am on nebivolol, aspirin, losartan and atorvastatin. Like you it's perhaps not such a big deal but I definitely identify with what you say. I rarely drink alcohol now but again the taste doesn't seem quite right with a favourite wine.
I’m going to try eating and drinking things I didn’t like before my HA and see if I now like them. I really wanted to like the taste of olives and avocado- maybe now I do!!
