No ! BUT I certainly had other issues, namely the most vile and violent nightmares which constantly woke me up at night, any time of night. Horrific ! I told my GP I would return to Warfarin, she tried to get me to take another NOAC but I refused point blank. I said to her ............. one try at a NOAC is enouigh ... absolutely no more.

I would hate to use warfarin as I like a drink & one can't do that on warfarin. There are also bleed risks with warfarin & if it is only bad dreams that trouble you I would at least try another medication.

Best of luck whatever you decide.

With the exception of 5 months on Edoxaban, I've been on Warfarin seamlessly and highly successfully since 2010. The only reason my GP put me on Edoxaban was that it worked better with 2 other pain killers that she wanted to try. As it happened these two pain killers gave me some very anti social side effects, diahorrea !

Warfarin has never stopped me drinking or eating what I want .......... Warfarin needs consistency in everything. Luckily, I have my own kit which enables me to self test and if need be self diagnose.

The bad dreams trouble me as they cause lack of sleep - not advisable when driving buses 😢

I was told that warfarin is a very safe drug. Tried and tested for 50 years unlike the NOAC’s. Also l was told that any bleeding is easier to deal with. This was from a medical professional who advised it was the best one. I can’t tolerate any of the NOAC’s so am grateful for warfarin. I don’t know where you have obtained your info. but with warfarin you can drink etc. providing it is in moderation, which is sensible for all anticoagulants. I also eat everything in moderation.

I don't take edoxaban, but I do take apixaban with diltiazem. Diltiazem (an inhibitor of CYP3A4) can increase in some people who take diltiazem the blood levels of apixaban. And I will get a bloodshot eye every other month. Though as a family member reminded me, better than a stroke.

No eye bleeds but frequent gum bleeds. I’m going to stop for a day or two see what happens.

Thanks for your reply. Be careful if you stop you should talk to your Dr first. At the eye clinic they suggested that my dose might be too strong and to see my GP about it. Mind you it is only slightly easier to get a GP appointment where I live than an audience with the Pope!

I’ve had a couple before Edoxaban when the white of my eye was completely red…scary look. They resolved in two weeks. I have had one since I’ve been taking edoxaban and it resolved in the same time. Always my left eye..

2-3 years apart - don’t know why it happens - my vision has never been affected .

No gums bleeds or anything else…

No mine is at back of eye and I have lost most vision in it.

I’ve had several on the front of the eye. My assumption was that they are common, self limiting and not a cause for concern even though I take Apixaban.

Any associated loss of vision would be a medical emergency.

That’s the type I’ve experienced- I forgot what they’re called. Thanks

Hi, yes, a subconjunctival haemorrhage. I had one while I was on Edoxaban.

I was doing some heavy exercise at the time, looked messy; the NOAC just made it look worse.

Spoke to my GP, my vision wasn’t affected, so it was left and it cleared up within a few weeks.

Hi, I would be seeking immediate medical attention in A&E, if this was the case.

I have had them when l was perfectly healthy and not on an anticoagulant. I was told they are harmless. They clear up on their own without any treatment..

I'm on warfarin and have had a few, some worse than others usually takes up to two weeks to clear, A few times I've been unaware of it until someone (usually a grandchild) points it out to me. My mother used to have them and she wasn't on any medication.

Mine are at the back of the eye , at the moment have only partial vision in right eye, now sitting in packed eye clinic waiting to be seenCheers.

Big difference between the front of the eye and the back of the eye especially, and of most concern, if you've lost some vision. Let us know how you're doing and the doctor's diagnosis. Take care.
