Hello fellow warriors, spouses and caregivers. We are so thankful for this community as my husband and I have learned so much and have gotten great advice from you all as we both read your posts daily. Even though we have never met, we consider you friends and know many of you by your name or handle.

This week was the 2 month checkup after my husbands 28 seasons of IMRT to the pelvic region. We are celebrating a PSA reading of .03 and 4 years into this battle.

6 months after completing 6 cycles of LUT-177, Mayo clinic's Choline petscan picked up a small reoccurrence in the prostate gland and Dr Kwon recommended pelvic region radiation. This wasn't even an option when my husband was first diagnosed due to the original spread beyond prostate.

Before LUT-177 he was failing treatments right and left, and beginning to experience some pain. Now it appears he was given a 2nd chance for a longer survival. So grateful to learn about Lut-177 here first.

Also note, he started Xtandi 12/18 right before 1st LUT-177 treatment and is still on it.

Hoping for a longer remission this time!!

I think the Xtandi was very beneficial. See this article:

What I heard from other patients, a Lu177 therapy cannot fully destroy the tumor in the prostate. This is just too much cancer lumped together. Therefore either before or after Lu177, you have to treat the prostate with IMRT radiation or surgery. I hope this will provide a long remission for your husband.

Thank you, that's the first time we've heard that about LUT-177 not being able to destroy the tumor in the prostate. So glad he was able to do I then. Appreciate your additional comment.
