5 weeks post Circumcision update

Recovery is slow and swelling is still present, specifically on the underside of the glans just below the Frenulum which tbh looks ugly.

Every 3-5 days dry skin just hangs and crystallizes with the secretions and urine (leftover) which I have to painfully pull apart after softening it for quite a period.

Another irritating thing is the prevalence of pubic hair. I am in general a hairy person the likes of which can scare a white European away. Naturally that is a good thing with beards and your scalp but very troublesome when you’re recovering from a Circumcision-Frenuloplasty surgery.

Now that the hair have regrown, they keep getting stuck between the swollen inner foreskin and glans and it is very painful to pull them out sigh :(

I finish my rant and empty my heart here

are you dipping your penis in salt water daily. Thus really helps prevent infection and promote healing. Might help with thing sticking together etc.

I wasn’t recommended this. Should I boil the water or is normal temperature fine?

will this also help with sensitivity considering I still can’t walk without holding my pyjamas with one hand?

I wore tight pants. Stopping movement as much as possible is what helps most, especially rubbing on clothes. You can also put a dressing on to help

Swelling takes quite some time to subside in some cases. You can apply coconut oil to moisturize glans. Trim some hairs around the shaft to minimise sticking.

You are still early, adult circumcision takes 3-6 month to heal. Internal healing takes time.

Devon-uk is right - salt water washes are great for gently removing dry skin (they even sorted out two tiny stitch ends that randomly popped out my frenulum in week 9 - saw them, dipped my fella in salt water for 10 mins and they were gone). Cool some boiled water, pop 2 teaspoons of table salt in a glass, mix with water, then gently swish your fella around for 10 mins. And as for swelling, I'm at 10 weeks now and the frenulum area is the only place where I still have swelling - it's the place where most people have it for a long while after the op and external healing is complete.
