I have impaired function of the left ventricle. I’m on several medications to assist the heart. Bisoprolol, Dapagliflozin, Eplerenone, candesartan.
Hi Curryandchips, I saw the cardiac consultant immediately after an echo and was told I had serious heart failure. LV impairment, LBBB and an EF of 25%. A pacemaker implant was unsuccessful (see my bio) so now I take lots of medication to help stop the EF becoming lower. I feel really well and keep active. Take care.
Hi I have severely dilated left ventricle and take lots of meds and have an ICD fitted. My ejection fraction was only 16 on diagnosis it went upto 27_30 three weeks after, in February this year it was still the same. Put onto more great meds in February I feel really well. Iced fitted in February. I feel more confident. I hope this helps you. Please can you keep us all updated.
Hi, entresto and spironlactone
I also take, dapaglaflzin, bisoprolol, digoxin, apixiban, atravastatin, I felt better after being put onto entresto especially it gives me more stamina and I don't get so short of breath, as I did before. One of its functions is to block the harmful enzymes that caused damage to the heart muscles. So essentially they have stopped my heart failure from worsening like froze it in time for now if that makes sense.
After nine months off sick I have just returned to work and I am driving everywhere. It is scary mate to get this diagnosis. But your consultant will put you on the right treatment plan, please keep us updated. This site is amazing and there are lots of people in the same boat that have had heart failure and heart problems for years. This site has kept me going. People on here are amazing and very kind.
Please do, you are not alone. Take care.
