bisoprolol: I take 20mg of bisoprolol... - British Heart Fou...
bisoprolol
Is there a reason you ask?
The dosage can vary from 1.25mg up to 20mg per day, depending on what is required for each individual.
I am on 1.25 ! But you need to talk to someone medically qualified before changing.Colin
Hello I can be switched between 7.5mg and 10mg depending on Heart rate control Currently at &,5ng and doing OK
Regards
I did think the maximum was 10mg ??? Stand to be corrected though
Absolute maximum of 20mg for hypertension and/or angina as per the bnf:
bnf.nice.org.uk/drug/bisopr...
I’d thought the max was 10mg, too, until I was checking it for something else a few months back.
I used to be on same dosage but I was completely zonked out with it. My cardiologist moved me on to Nadolol 80mg twice daily and no more problems. All the very best to you.
I am on 2.5mg. I find that it suits me well.
Wow! I thought 10mg was highest, that's what I was put on immediately after my surgery (AVR) in July 2020. Since then it was lowered to 5mg which I was on until yesterday, after talk with GP. I have been totally exhausted, needed to sleep in afternoons, so she lowered the dose to 3,75mg.Remains to be seen if that will stop the tiredness and hopefully my AF won't return with this low dose.
What do you take it for?🤔 Monica
I’m on 7.5 and my heart rate is still up in the 70s , I see my cardiac nurse on Friday and I think he will up the dose again . I hope so anyway
Yes I’ve been taking that dose for 19 years. I’m 75. I had pacemaker put in 3 years ago. All ok. Apart from age -slower walking.
