My 16-year-old son suffers from getting sucked into the YouTube vortex. He’s very upset with himself but desperately needs to learn how to control it. Technologies is not going away. We need to learn how to manage it. And one of the parent parent seminars they were suggestion for, but when I look them up, I can’t find them. Does anybody have any suggestions?

My son, almost 10, has the same issue with YouTube Kids. I’ve set up a daily time limit on the iPad, so he can’t access the app once the time is up. You can do so in the settings under “screen time”. I’m thinking other devices may have similar options.
Is it an iPhone? If so, go into settings, screen time, and block You Tube after 30 minutes or whatever you agree on per day. No cost, no app to download. My oldest daughter is now 17 and at this point she tells me the limits and I set them. We revisit it often for adjustments. Also, set downtime so it turns off overnight. Easy! Stay strong!
